21 May Weekly Roundup

Hello Folks...

The theme is seemly to make the strike action beeeger!!!! First Transnet, then Metrorail and now the possibility of the SANDF membaz!!! If Bafana Bafana is ever short of strikers in this World Cup - Utatu and Satawu seem to have more than Coach Alberto can count... and they come in different shapes and sizes so if fat is not what he is looking for - he has got more choice....
PS: these striking workers seem to forget that there are people in this country who are equally skilled/ unskilled and will be happy to do their job for even half the wage they are receiving at the moment!

Thanks to the high court interdict recently ol Juju has been rather quite - else he may have kicked up a fuss over the comedy show in London at the Royal Albert Hall called Bafunny Bafunny!!!!Eish- he is probably doing his math over and over again about how many BEE points the entourage of funnymen are who are performing in London!

In a time when we are just weeks away from the World Cup the hottest item of contention within the ruling party is about a song which they do not want banned!!!! Gwede ghoulishly grabbed the headlines again this week in claiming that there are legions of comrades who will attest to the "Kill the Boer"song as being part of the liberation struggle.... Ahem- as if just the word KILL is not bad enough!!!
okay so for the tourists visiting SA- Kill the Boer literally translates to KILL THE FARMER! So will the ANC ban this song after they have made all the land claims and all farmers in SA are non- white? I wonder.....?
As for my thoughts on the Human Rights Assoc and other organizations of similar distaste - why is it that they have not commented on the news of little Baby Marzaan Kruger who is now left blind? Comon judge - the child is only a year old!!!!! The perpetrators are booked and charged with the crime.... A fitting punishment for Maphosa and Nyantumbo should be to gouge out their eyes.... just to start with!!!!

So was Zapiro's cartoon (in Mail & Guardian) warranted at this crucial time when only days ago SAPS were reeling in shock that there was a terror threat by al-qaeda to the WC? Do followers have to have a sense of humor or does he need to get rid of his sense of stupidity?
(most of us self respecting South Africans are peace loving and detest any form of violence/ crime)

It was not more than two weeks ago that our good/ obviously very fertile president hopped onto a domestic flight to CT - yesterday he surprised commuters with a surprise visit to the Soweto BRT bus rank. Was he really there to see the service delivery for himself or to canvass for support in next years elections??? Well done Pres. and glad to see you are checking up on service delivery yourself...

By the way our first citizen was in Sasolburg yesterday where he asked South Africans to "be good for just four weeks" and that we should "forget our own problems for the moment and make other people at home in our country"- Tell that to the Kruger family Mr. President - or for that matter that little 5 year old girl (Little L) who was kept tied to a table leg in Etwatwa...

Take that to the bank when you go to change your R200 notes!!!

Peace!
