I received a really complimentary e-mail the other day when I asked somebody why they thought they needed to refer to me as "Mr." - Wanted to share it...
"8.9.2009
respect my dear friend commands me that there is no substitution for courtesy and acknowledging a status of someone such as yourself. such exuberance and uninhibited laughter and sheer exuberance that i listen to on the road 'with rakesh' turns my soul that even though these are trying times, music still is the food of love and you are its choir master. So indulge me in the Mr. for I'm the slave of the music and you are its master..............."

Wow! Thats nice! Im sure it makes you feel really special....and its also good to know that there are still some good people out there that know the meaning of respect....
ReplyDeletereminds me of this little poem I received as one of those inspirational emails a while back
RESPECT:
Respect is a lesson that everyone should learn
Respect must be given before an expected return
Respect is something that’s given for free
Respect is about us and never about me
Respect is the basis on which relationships are founded
Respect is the anchor that keeps a person well grounded
Respect builds the character and defines who we are
Respect sets the standard and raises the bar
Respect is magnanimous and helps to fulfil
Respect is the partner that sits with good will
Respect is like honey so sweet it’s perceived
Respect is a taste to savour for when it’s received
So "Mr" Ramdhin - Im sure its a good feeling to know that someone cares enough to address you in such a special way....
